Zhytomyr region harvested more than 135,000 tonnes of sugar beets
Zhytomyr region continues sugar beet harvesting campaign. According to operational data of the Department of Agri-Industrial Development and Economic Policy of Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration, 135.3 thousand tonnes of this root crop have already been harvested.

This demonstrates the remarkable success of agricultural sector of the region, where the average yield of sugar beets reached 410 centners/ha.
At present, 17.7% of the total area of 18.6 thousand ha, which was sown with sugar beets in 2023, has been harvested.
Remind that in 2022, 3.2 thousand hectares of sugar beets were sown in Zhytomyr region, and in 2021 — 10.2 thousand hectares.
This year, Zhytomyr region received a very successful sugar beet crop. The previous years also showed the hign yield of this important agricultural crop.
Such achievements indicate that the agriculture of Zhytomyr region is a powerful component of the region's economy and worthily represents Ukraine on the agri-industrial market.
