Volyn will have sufficient sugar
This year spring has turned out to be late, but friendly with high temperatures and a significant lack of moisture, so sugar beet have sprouted only by 40% and only the last rains are able to improve the situation. But Gnidava sugar refinery still expects high yields from its farmers.
It is reported by the press service of the company.
«After the completion of the sowing campaign we will carry out an inspection of the farms and determine the real amount of sown areas. At present we can say that this year sugar beet crops have declined roughly by 15%. This is due to the low sugar price with the growth of material resources used in the sugar beet cultivation», — said the deputy chairman of the company on raw materials Oleksandr Nikishyn.
At the same time, the company is confident that Volyn will be provided with sugar at the average yield. Today Gnidava sugar refinery continues the production modernization, as the main aim is the introduction of European production standards.
