Volyn region completed sugar beet harvesting campaign
The sugar beet harvesting campaign was completed in Volyn region. This year, work was carried out on the area of 9 thousand hectares. In total, 578.5 thousand tonnes of sugar beets were harvested with the average yield of 65 t/ha.

Processing is provided by two enterprises — Gnidava and Maryanivka sugar factories. Since the beginning of the season, they have already processed about 650 thousand tonnes of beets and produced approximately 100 thousand tonnes of sugar.
Roman Romanyuk, a deputy head of Volyn Regional State Administration, noted the high level of organization of work at the local agricultural enterprises and the significant contribution of Volyn producers to the food stability of the region.
«It is important that farmers provide high-quality raw materials and a stable volume of supplies to our processing enterprises, supporting the regional economy, jobs, and food security», — the deputy head of the regional administration noted.
