There are 5 sugar refineries in operation in the production season of 2021.

As of October 21, sugar factories accepted 1,075.6 thousand tonnes of beets for processing, 975,5 thousand tonnes were processed, and 138,1 thousand tonnes of sugar were produced.

Sugar beets were harvested from the area of 39,2 thousand hectares — 79% of the forecast. 1,91 million tonnes of beets were harvested with the average yield of 48,8 tonnes/ha — 7,48 tonnes/ha higher than last year's level.
