Sugar factories in the region increased sugar production last year compared to 2022.

430,000 tonnes of sugar were produced in the region. As of January 8, only one Gaisyn sugar factory was operating. The other four factories finished their work.

The distance to them from some farms is more than hundred kilometers. At the current cost of fuel economy, they will suffer considerable losses.

By the way, the two most powerful sugar factories in Vinnytsia region are Gaisyn and Kryzhopil factories. They account for 60-70% of sugar produced at all five sugar factories that have been operating in recent years.
