It is reported by "Ukrinform" with reference to the data of Vinnytsia RMA.

"According to operational data, as of December 29, the sugar factories of the region produced 400,000 tonnes of sugar. Last year, a total of 360,000 tonnes of sugar were produced during the production season," — RMA reported.

The department noted that the volume of sugar produced in Vinnytsia region is about 25% of the total Ukrainian sugar production.

Currently, sugar production continues at four sugar factories in the region. Instead, LLC Yuzefo-Mykolaivska APC has already completed the production season.

In total, 2.8 million tonnes of sugar beets were processed at sugar factories of the region since the beginning of the production season, 22% more than last year on the corresponding date.
