Vinnytsia region produced more than 100,000 tonnes of sugar
In Vinnytsia region, farmers despite unfavorable weather and economic factors, keep their front, ensuring the food security of Ukraine.
It is announced by the head of Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration, Serhii Borzov, Ukrinform reports.
In Vinnytsia region, 5 sugar factories successfully started the sugar-refining season. They are fully supplied with raw materials. To date, they have already produced more than 100,000 tonnes of sugar. Sugar beets were harvested on 82% of the total sown area. The average yield is slightly lower than last year, but at the level of the average for the last 5 years and amounts to more than 450 t/ha.
