It is reported by Vinnytsia RMA for Ukrinform.

«As of today, November 22, the local sugar factories have already produced 236 thousand tonnes of sugar, all five sugar factories are still in operation. On the corresponding date last year, 255 thousand tonnes of sugar were produced», — the RMA reported.

These enterprises have already processed almost 1.8 million tonnes of sugar beets.

In total, farmers in the region harvested 2.5 million tonnes of sugar beets. The average yield is significantly inferior to last year’s 47.7 t/ha and amounts to 39.7 t/ha.
