Ukrainian sugar factories produced 1,25 mln t of sugar
As of December 1, 26 sugar factories, members of the National Association of Sugar Producers of Ukraine, processed 8 million 360 thousand tonnes of sugar beets and produced 1 million 250 thousand tonnes of sugar.
The current sugar yield reaches 15.02% (last season — 14.11%), which is explained, in particular, by the higher sugar content upon acceptance — 17.48% (+0.71% compared to the 2024 figure).
In December, 22 sugar factories will continue sugar beet processing.
Vinnytsia region remains the leader in production volumes, where 263 thousand tonnes of sugar are produced.
Beets are also processed by Gorikhiv Sugar Refinery, which is not member of «Ukrsugar» and does not provide timely information on the progress of sugar beet processing.
