Ukraine sowed more than 179,000 ha of sugar beets
As of May 4, 2023, more than 179,000 hectares were planted with sugar beets in Ukraine.
According to official data, 179.17 thousand hectares of sugar beets were sown on the specified date. Vinnytsia region is the leader in terms of sowing rates, where 49.3 thousand hectares were planted with sweet roots, followed by Khmelnytsk (21.8 thousand hectares), Poltava (21.4 thousand hectares), and Ternopil regions (20.8 thousand hectares).
