Ukraine sowed 213 thousand hectares of sugar beet
As of May 6, Ukraine sowed 213 thousand hectares of sugar beet.
It is reported by press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
Ukrainian farmers sowed spring cereals and leguminous crops (with corn) on the area of 4,9 million hectares or 67% of the forecast.
In addition, sugar beet were sown on the area of 213 thousand hectares (87%).
Spring cereal crops sowing is forecasted on the area of 7,2 million hectares, industrial crops — 9,2 million hectares, potatoes and vegetables — 1,8 million hectares, forage crops — 1,9 million hectares.
