Ukraine sowed 167 thousand hectares of sugar beet

As of April 10, sugar beet were sown on the area of 167 thousand hectares or 68% of the forecast.

It is reported by press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

Ukrainian agrarians began sowing of maize for grain, which was own on the area of 58 thousand hectares or 1% of the forecast. In general, 2 million hectares or 87% of the forecast were sown with early grain and leguminous crops.

Also, winter crops for grain were sown out on the area of 7,5 million hectares or 99% of the forecast. Winter rape is fed on the area of 1,3 million hectares (99%).
