Ukraine produced more than a million tonnes of sugar
As of November 21, sugar factories-members of the National Association of Sugar Producers of Ukraine accepted 9 million tonnes of sugar beets for processing, from which they produced 1.165 million tonnes of sugar, practically equal to the figures on the same date last year.
In 2024/2025 MY, sugar beet processing is carried out by 29 sugar factories, 28 of which are members of the Association.
As of the specified date, sugar beet harvesting is almost completed, sweet roots are harvested from the area of 251.2 thousand hectares. 11.9 million tonnes of sugar beets are harvested with the average yield of 47.6 t/ha.
