Ukraine harvested more than two million tonnes of sugar beets
As of October 1, Ukrainian farmers harvested more than two million tonnes of sugar beets.
It is reported by Information and Analytical Portal of the agro-industrial complex of Ukraine.
Agrarians of 14 regions out of 18 beet growing regions began sugar beet harvesting campaign (47,2 thousand ha, 21% in Ukraine), 2 million 262 thousand tonnes of sugar beets were harvested with the average yield of 479,6 centners/ha. Cherkasy and Kharkiv regions harvested the most sugar beets — 49% and 47% of the forecast, the highest average beet yield was registered in Ternopil region and amounted to 580 centners/ha.
