Agrarians of 12 regions out of 18 beet growing regions began sugar beet harvesting campaign (25,8 thousand ha, 11% in Ukraine), 1 million 253 thousand tonnes of sugar beets were harvested with the average yield of 485,4 centners/ha. Cherkasy region harvested the most sugar beets — 49% of the forecast, the highest average beet yield was registered in Ternopil region and amounted to 580 centners/ha.
