Sugar beets were harvested from the area of 164,6 thousand hectares (73% in Ukraine), more than 7,7 million tonnes of sweet roots were harvested with the average yield of 471 centners/ha. Dnipropetrovsk and Zhytomyr regions finished harvesting operations. The highest average beet yield was registered in Lviv region and amounted to 551,6 centners/ha.
