Sugar beets were harvested from the area of 217,9 thousand hectares (96% in Ukraine), more than 10,3 million tonnes of sweet roots were harvested with the average yield of 470,7 centners/ha. Volyn, Dnipropetrovsk, Donets, Zhytomyr, Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Chernigiv and Bukovyna regions finished harvesting operations. The highest average beet yield was registered in Lviv region and amounted to 557,9 centners/ha.
