Ukraine harvested more than 10 million tonnes of sugar beet
As of October 30, Ukrainian agrarians harvested 10,2 million tonnes of sugar beet.
It is reported by the press service of Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
According to the information, sugar beet are harvested from 76% (211 thousand hectares) of the total harvested area. The average yield is 48,6 t/ha. Meanwhile, 8.66 million tonnes of beet roots have already been removed from the fields.
In addition to harvesting, an autumn sowing campaign takes place. Thus, farmers sowed 6,9 million hectares of winter grain crops (96%), with an estimated area of 7,2 million hectares. In addition, winter rape with a planned area of 888 thousand hectares was sown on 1,0 million hectares (115%).
