Sugar beets were harvested from the area of 187,8 thousand hectares (83% in Ukraine), more than 8,8 million tonnes of sweet roots were harvested with the average yield of 469,5 centners/ha. Dnipropetrovsk and Zhytomyr and Bukovyna regions finished harvesting operations. The highest average beet yield was registered in Lviv region and amounted to 556,1 centners/ha.
