Ukraine exported more than 22 thousand tonnes of sugar in August
During the last month of marketing year 2017/2018, Ukrainian sugar producers exported 22,4 thousand tonnes of sugar.
The main deliveries were carried out to Uzbekistan — 79%. Also, insignificant shipments were done to Azerbaijan and Moldova — 10% and 6% respectively.
«August, as a rule, is not very active month in terms of exports, so we have 39% drop in supplies, comparing with last month», — commented Ruslana Butylo, the head of the analytical department of «Ukrtsugar».
In total 560,400 tonnes of sugar were exported in September-August 2017/2018 MY.
Recall that this year's sugar season started on August 31. As of September 14, 13 sugar refineries have been operating and 41,1 thousand tonnes of sugar have been produced.
