Ukraine exported 18 ths. t of sugar in August
During the last month of the marketing year Ukrainian producers supplied 18,3 ths. t of sugar to the foreign markets.
The main deliveries were made to Azerbaijan — 7,8 ths. t, Turkey — 5,2 ths. t, Georgia — 2,5 ths. t and Moldova —1,4 ths. t.
"In general, within 2016/2017 marketing year, Ukraine exported 769,3 ths. t of sugar — the absolute record for the years of independence», — commented Ruslana Butylo, the head of the analytical department of «Ukrsugar».
This year's sugar-growing season began on August, 30. As of September 5, five sugar refineries operate and 7,300 t of sugar re produced.
