«Ukraina-2001» plans to harvest good sugar beet crop
«Ukraina-2001» Company (Khmelnytsk region) began sugar beet harvesting.
It is told by agronomist of the company Volodymyr Nikitchchuk, AgroTimes reports.
He says, it is too early to speak about beet yield, but the expected harvest is no worse than last year, when the average yield amounted 55 t/ha.
Volodymyr Nikitchchuk notes that this year «Ukraina-2001» has kept sugar beet area unchanged — at the level of the previous year of 6 thousand hectares.
He also addes that the first data from sugar refineries show that the sugar content of beets corresponds to the level of 2018 and reaches about 16-17%.
