The second place was occupied by Kryzhopil sugar refinery, which processed 891,3 thousand tonnes of sugar beet and produced 135,8 thousand tonnes of sugar. The third place— Narkevychy sugar refinery, which produced 125,9 thousand tonnes of sugar crushing 860,6 thousand tonnes of beet.

«20 sugar refineries produced 70,8% of the total amount of sugar. Besides, integrated companies, formed in the beet sugar industry of Ukraine in recent years, in MY 2017/2018 produced 69,5% of the total sugar production. For example, this year «Astarta-Kyiv» LLC consolidated its position of the leader of the sugar market producing 462,9 thousand tonnes of sugar, which is 23% of the total production. The second place was taken by «Radekhiv Sugar» LLC, which managed to increase its indicators compared to the last year due to the launch of previously purchased sugar refineries previously owned by Galychyna Sugar» LLC — 433,1 thousand tonnes of sugar, which is 21% of the total production. The third place was taken by «Ukrprominvest-Agro» LLC, its sugar refineries produced 241,3 thousand tonnes of sugar, which is 12% of the total production», — commented Ruslana Butylo, the head f the analytical department of «Ukrsugar».

In MY 2017/2018, domestic sugar producers produced 2,14 million tonnes of sugar in total. 46 sugar refineries worked this season.
