Ternopil sugar refineries produced over 220 thousand tonnes of sugar
Sugar producers of Ternopil region complete 2018 production season. Four production units of «Radekhivskyi Sugar» LLC, in particular Chortkiv, Khorostkiv, Zbarazh and Kozivsk sugar refineries, processed over 1,75 million tonnes of sugar beet with the average yield of 478 centners/ha.

1,57 million tonnes of sugar beet are harvested from the area of 32,7 thousand hectares. 220 thousand tonens of sugar are produced. Zhbarazh and Kozivsk sugar refienries stopped work and completed the processing season at the end of the first decade of December. The processing operations do not stop at Chortkiv and Khorostkiv refineries, which accept sugar beet not only from Ternopil region, but also from neighboring regions of Ukraine.
Recall that last year the local sugar refineries produced 283,5 thousand tonnes of sugar, processed 1,93 million tonnes of sugar beet with sugar content of 17,7%. The largest amounts of sugar were produced by Chortkiv refinery — 123 thousand tonnes, and Khorostkiv refinery — 74 thousand tonnes.
It should be noted that the largest sugar beet processing farms of the region are «Buchachagrohlibprom» LLC, «Agroprodservice» PC and «Dzvin» PC (Chortkiv district). They got the average sugar beet yield of 550-612 centners/ha.
