Ternopil sugar factories produced over 157 kt of sugar
As of early November, sugar factories of Ternopil region produced over 157 thousand tonnes of sugar.
This is reported by Volodymyr Stakhiv, director of Department of Regional Agri-Industrial Development, in a comment for Ukrinform.
«Sugar factories in Ternopil region processed over 1.1 million tonnes of sugar beets and produced over 157 thousand tonnes of sugar», — Volodymyr Stakhiv said.
He noted that the sugar refining season in the region will last approximately until January. The refineries process beets grown both in Ternopil and neighboring regions. In total, the region plans to produce about 240 thousand tonnes of sugar.
