Ternopil sugar factories produced 250 kt of sugar
Ternopil rgion, after Lviv and Khmelnytsk rgions, was among the leaders in sugar beet yield. One hectare gave 511.5 centners of beets.

Ternopil regional state administration added: sugar beets were harvested from the area of 22.5 thousand hectares, which is 100% of the sown area. 1,239.3 thousand tonnes of sweet roots were harvested (+127.3 thousand tonnes compared to last year).
As of December 18, four sugar factories of the region processed 1.7 million tonnes of sugar beets, 43% more than last year, and 250,000 tonnes of sugar were produced (45% more than last year).
