Volodymyr Stakhiv, director of Department of agri-industrial development of the region, told about it for Ukrinform.

«In Ternopil region, sugar factories processed 931,000 tonnes of sugar beets and produced more than 130,000 tonnes of sugar», — Mr. Stakhiv said.

The amount of sugar produced this season is about 30% more than at the same time last year.

Chortkiv sugar factory produced the most product — more than 40,000 tonnes of sugar.
