The local farms harvested sugar beet from the area of ​​17,5 thousand hectares (52% of the grown area). 861 thousand tonnes of beet harvested — 230 thousand tonnes more than in 2017, the yield reaches 492 centners/ha.

At present four sugar refineries of «Radekhivskyi Sugar» LLC (Chortkiv, Khorostkiv, Zbarazh and Kozivsk) operate.

Department of Agricultural Development of Ternopil Regional State Administration reports, that 527 thousand tonnes of sugar beet were delivered for processing, 75,0 thousand tonnes of sugar were produced — 32,4 thousand tonnes more than last year.
