Ternopil region plans to produce over 270 thousand tonnes of sugar
This season Ternopil region plans to produce more than 270 thousand tonnes of sugar, which is 6 times more the region's need.

«In total, it is planned to produce more than 270 thousand tonnes of white sugar, which is more than 6 times higher than the normative consumption of the population and food enterprises of the region», — says v.o. director of the Department for Agricultural Development of Ternopil Regional State Administration Volodymyr Stakhov.
Sugar beet will be taken by wholesale parties through commercial harvesting structures. The procurement of raw materials will be carried out at the working refineries.
Volodymyr Stakhov says, with estimated average beet yield of 490 centners per hectare, the expected production of raw materials grown in the fields of the region by farms of all categories will amount to approximately 1,66 million tonnes.
