According to the Minister of Agriculture of Bashkortostan, Ilshat Fasakhmanov, at the beginning of this week the average weight of sugar beet in the republic exceeded 400 g. He estimated the weather conditions of the current year as favorable for the sugar beet growth and development with the sown area of ​​52,8 ths ha, which is 3% above the level of 2016, the press service of the regional Ministry of Agriculture said.

Sugar beet are grown in 24 regions. According to forecasts, it is planned to harvest more than 1 mln t of sugar beet for the refineries.

All municipalities were recommended to use an existing beet-harvesting combine park for the sugar beet harvesting from September, 6. So far, the Alcheyevsk, Kuyurgazin and Chishminsk districts began harvest season.
