«46 sugar refineries have worked in the season, 12 of them have already completed sugar production season. Most producers will finish sugar producing until the New Year», — commented Ruslana Butylo, the head of the analytical department of «Ukrsugar».

Sugar production reached 1,57 million tonnes, 11,06 million tonnes of sugar beet were processed.

According to the forecasts of the Association, sugar production will remain at the level of last year — 1,9-2,0 million tonnes, which will avoid a shortage on the domestic market and realize external deliveries in the volume of about 500 thousand tons of sugar.
