«The main sugar deliveries were carried out to Uzbekistan — 51% and Libya — 35%. Also, insignificant volumes were sent to Azerbaijan — 5%, Armenia and Georgia — 3%», — commented the head of the analytical department of «Ukrsugar» Ruslana Butylo.

 During ten months of the current marketing year, Ukrainian producers exported 501,0 thousand tonnes of sugar — 32% less than during the same period of the last year.

Recall that this year's sugar beet grown area is 280 thousand hectares, which is 13% less than last year. According to the Association's forecasts, sugar beet production will decrease by about 10% — to 13,1 million tonnes. Accordingly, sugar production will amount to about 1,75 million tonnes. It is estimated that 40 sugar refineries will operate in the season.
