«Shepetivka Sugar» LLC will determine the quality of "sweet" roots with the help of the first in Ukraine robotic beet laboratory.

It is reported by the company on its Facebook-page.

Shepetivka Sugar Refinery will meet next season not only with the European technology of sugar beet dry transportation, but also innovative technologies for determining the quality of root crops, because the company plans to build a state-of-the-art automated sugar beet laboratory.

«A'SPIK GROUP» says this is a necessary step, as productive work will allow to introduce comprehensive control over the raw materials quality.

«The old equipment allowed to do only 40 tests per day, thanks to automation, productivity will be increased more than 10 times, because the robot takes 20-30 samples per hour. New technologies will allow us to draw up an expanded chemical map of root crops. This will allow, for example, to accurately determine the content of GMOs in sugar beet, to carry out more efficient and better control over the condition of raw materials and crops in the fields», — says the chief engineer of Shepetivka sugar refinery Roman Kovalchuk.

Moreover, the construction of innovative sugar beet research complex will also save money. In particular, the company will refuse to lease lands outside the enterprise for beet pile fields and the old raw materials laboratory, as in the new sugar-refining season all these objects will be located exclusively on the territory of the refinery. Thus, automation will not only increase productivity, reduce work breakdown and liquid assets, but also will be benefit for the environment.

Wikpol, the Polish company, will be the supplier and developer of the robotic equipment.
