«Radiansky» AC harvested a record sugar beet crop
The current sugar beet cultivation season is successful for Poltava agrarians — the average yield is 35,4 t/ha, however, in some farms sugar beet yield more than twice exceeds the average level.
2017 will enter the history of «Radiansky» AC (Poltava region) with sugar beet yield of 80 t/ha, 16,8% sugar content, and only 9% contamination, reports ng.pl.ua.
«Within 42 years of work, this is the third time when we harvests such a good crop. This year we have sowed Veda hybrid of German breeding. Organic and mineral fertilizers (against diseases and pests) have been manured. As a result, we have the yield of 80 tonnes per hectare — a very good harvest!» — says Mykola Andriyenko, the chairman of «Radiansky» AC.
To get a high yield, the company carefully prepares the field for sugar beet sown and manures 30-40 tonnes of defecet, supplied from the local sugar refinery.
As of October 20, 759,7 thousand tonnes of sugar beet were harvested in the region.
