Since the beginning of sugar production (on September 7), four sugar factories of Poltava region have processed 1,053 million tonnes of sugar beets and produced 192 thousand tonnes of sugar. The average sugar content amounted to 18,6%.

As of December 10, sugar beet harvesting has been completed in Poltava region. This year, almost 26 thousand hectares were sown with sugar beets in the region — this is the second position in Ukraine. More than 1,053 thousand tonnes of sweet roots were harvested in the region, the average beet yield reached 405 centners/ha.
