Poltava sugar factories produced 170 thousand tonnes of sugar
Sugar factories of Poltava region produced 170 thousand tonnes of sugar since the beginning of sugar-refining season, which started on September 16.
It is reported by press service of Department of Agricultural Development of Poltava Regional State Administration.
This year, four sugar factories operated in the region.
The refineries processed 1.15 million tonnes of sugar beets. The sugar yield was 14.8%. The average sugar content at the plants amounted to 17.54%.
