Pakistan sugar mills bound to start crushing by Nov 20

Director Agriculture Chaudhry Abdul Hameed said Pakistan sugar mills were bound to start sugarcane crushing by November 20.

It is reported by Business Recorder.

He said on Friday that sugarcane crop had been sown on 515,570 acres of land across the division.

He added that administration of the 14 sugar mills was directed to start crushing on time, or else strict action would be initiated against them.

He said the government fixed the purchase rate of sugarcane at Rs.180 (USD 1,34) per mound.
