«Mriya» began sugar beet harvesting
«Mriya» Agroholding began sugar beet harvesting. This season, the company has grown culture for the first time since the transition to lending management in 2015. In total, «Mriya» plans to harvest sugar beet from a total area of 3,5 ths ha in Ternopil region.
It is reported by the press service of the Company.
«Agroholding has necessary equipment for sugar beet harvesting, — commented Operations Director, Andriy Grygorov, — We will put into operation 5 beet harvesters and 4 units of special equipment. This season was successful in terms of cultivating, and our engineering and agronomic team worked well. Therefore, we expect to get a yield of at least 45 t/ha».
«Mriya» decided to return to the sugar beet growing according to a significant demand for raw materials for sugar production in the western region of Ukraine and the restoration of the work of four sugar mills in Ternopil region. Earlier, these sugar mills belonged to the «T-Tsukor» holding, which legally never belonged to «Mriya» Agroholding. At the beginning of 2017 they moved to the new owners — «Radekhivskyi Sugar» LLC (part of Pfeifer&Langen, international group of companies, Germany). This made possible the cooperation of producers and processors of raw materials and eliminated the social tensions with regard to the further fate of the sugar industry in the region.
