More than 70% of sugar beet area have been harvested
As of October 26, Ukrainian farmers harvested 9,5 million tonnes of sugar beet.
It is reported by the press service of Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
Sugar beet are harvested from the area of 197 thousand hectares (71%) with an average yield of 483 centners/ha.
In addition to harvesting, an autumn sowing campaign takes place. Thus, farmers sowed 6,9 million hectares of winter grain crops (96%), with an estimated area of 7,2 million hectares. In addition, winter rape with a projected area of 888 thousand hectares was sown at 1,0 million hectares (115%).
