The wastes from sugar factories have been actively used and processed at the leading European enterprises, the bioethanol plant, which successfully works in Lutsk (Ukraine), is their analogue.

It is reported by the press service of the Gnidava Sugar Refinery.

Today, at Gnidava Sugar Refinery, molasses exports are stopped and it successfully processes into bioethanol and molasses residues at the newly created plant.

Molasses residues have already passed all necessary examinations of domestic and foreign laboratories. Evaluating the content of mineral fertilizers, leading experts recommend to use this product for fertilization. This project was successfully implemented by Gnidava Sugar Refinery.

Foreign agricultural specialists have been embracing this practice for many years. Today, Gnidava Sugar Refinery sells molasses residues of 1 hryvnia per tonn, although one tonn of such a product should cost at least 560 hryvnias according to the researches on the mineral fertilizer content.

The first results of the effectiveness of molasses residues fertilization are expected this year. With correct introduction of this product on the fields it is possible to replace the mineral fertilizers, which is planned to be implemented in practice at the enterprise this year.
