Michigan farmers made good headway on planting with less than four days suitable for fieldwork last week.

It is reported by brownfield.

The USDA says sugarbeets are 95 percent planted, 60 percent emerged and rated 95 percent good to excellent.

Frost damage has become most apparent in some tart cherry and peach orchards. Fruit growers are reporting a good pollination season with the warmer days. Asparagus harvest and vegetable transplanting are ongoing.
