Oleg Omelyanyuk, the head of the regional department of agri-industrial development and land relations of Regional Military Administration, told Suspilne about it.

According to him, sugar beet harvesting began on small areas. To date, crop harvesting has been carried out on only 3% of the area, which is about one thousand hectares.

«Sugar production season has started only at one Starokostyantyniv sugar factory. The rest of the sugar factories will start working by the end of September», — the official adds.
