I&U Group builds biogas complex at «Novomyrgorodskyi Sugar» LLC
In Kirovograd region the biogas complex with a capacity of 20 MW is being built at «Novomyrgorodskyi Sugar» LLC.
It is reported by I&U Group on its Facebook-page.
The first 6-megawatt facility is being built now.
«Powerful biogas plant will solve the problem of organic waste generated during sugar production process. During one season, sugar refinery accumulates about 90 thousand tonnes of beet pulp, which rots at the enterprise until spring, and then on the beet pile field», — investors say.
The facility will be able to process beet pulp, corn silage, chicken litter, pig and cattle manure. In addition, the company is considering a variant of technological water treatment up to 99,8%. It will allow to irrigate crops and raise groundwater level.
Construction of the complex for organic waste processing will transform sugar production wastes into raw materials for the production of electric and thermal energy and organic fertilizers.
«In fact, we will work without wastes, — says the head of the construction department I&U Group, — In technological process we will receive biogas with 52-65% of methane, nitrogen-rich technological water with 5% solids residue and dehistate (dry residue), saturated with potassium, nitrogen and phosphorus».
Biogas will be burned, electric and thermal energy will be generated. The heat will be used for the refinery needs: winter warming of silos or heating of greenhouses, which will be built here.
