ISMA reduced India 2019/2020 sugar output forecast by 5%
The Indian Sugar Mills Association (ISMA) reduced its 2019/2020 sugar production forecast by 5%, compared to the previous expectations.
It is reported by Reuters.
India is expected to produce 26,85 million tonnes of sugar in the current year that began in October 2019, a 5% drop compared to a previous estimate of 28,2 million tonnes,
The world’s second biggest producer of the sweetener had churned out a record 33,16 million tonnes of sugar in 2018/2019 MY.
