India sugar production is estimated to decline 3% — USDA
According to the USDA forecast, in 2022/2023 India sugar production is estimated to decline 3% — to 35.8 million tonnes on lower sugar yields from sugarcane.
It is reported by USDA in its November report.
Consumption is anticipated to be unchanged while imports rebound. Exports are expected to drop 20% after record exports the year before but remain the second highest ever. Stocks are estimated down as a result of lower stocks last year and reduced production.
