India production is estimated up 3% — USDA
In 2021/2022, India production is estimated up 3% — to 34,7 million tonnes on higher area.
It is reported by USDA in November report.
Consumption is forecast at a record 28,5 million tonnes and exports are estimated at a near record 7 million tonnes due to higherthan-average world prices and high supplies. Exports are expected high even without subsidies that have encouraged exports. Stocks are expected to be up slightly at levels that represent approximately 7 months of consumption.
