In Volyn region two sugar refineries will be in operation during 2019 "beet" season
The sugar beet harvesting season will start in early September, and in Volyn region two sugar refineries will be in operation — Maryanivskyi and Gnidava Sugar Refineries. Ivanychy Sugar Refinery, which is the third refinery in the region, will not be engaged in processing of raw materials, it will receive beets for their further delivering to another enterprise.
The director of the regional department of agro-industrial development Yuriy Gorbenko announced it during an operational meeting on August 7, VolynPost reported.
«It is known that Maryanivskyi Sugar Refinery processes sugar beets only of its own production, cause it has enough areas, so this year a heavy load will fall on Gnidava refinery», — the director said.
Yuriy Gorbenko also added that the management of Gnidava Sugar Refinery promised to make effective use of its capabilities.
