It is spoken by Deputy Chairman of Investment Board Glib Galkevych, the press service of the company reports.

Previously, this process was carried out on vacuum filters, but the equipment was already out of date and resulted in the corresponding sugar losses. The enterprise decided to install modern equipment. The advantage was given to «Putsch», German company. The filter presses have already been put into operation and are working successfully.

«This project was made by «POLIMEX», Polish company, and Ukrainian firms were engaged in installation of the equipment. These filter presses will reduce sugar losses in defecate almost 4 times due to the best of modern technologies, as well as significantly change the water circulation at the enterprise», — assures Glib Galkevych.

Also, the installation of modern equipment makes it possible to close the cycle of condensate water, which will reduce the use of fresh water.

Consequently, Gnidava Sugar Refinery continues to work on a program to reduce discharges into filtration fields with the aim in their further elimination and achievement of environmental norms of European production.
