Global sugar production is estimated up almost 3 million tonnes
Global sugar production, compared to last year, is estimated up 2.8 million tonnes to 186.6 million tonnes with higher production in China, India, and Thailand more than offsetting lower production in Brazil.
It is reported by USDA in its November report.
Consumption is anticipated to rise to a new record with growth in markets such as India. Exports are up due to higher shipments from Thailand. Stocks are estimated lower as reduced stocks in Thailand are projected to more than offset a rise in stocks in India.
