Gaisyn Sugar Refinery increases sugar production

Gaisyn Sugar Refinery, owned by «Zorya Podillya» LLC, is preparing for a large-scale modernization of production. The enterprise plans to increase the volume of sugar beet processing to 10 thousand tonnes per day by installing new auxiliary equipment and tanks for diesel fuel storing.

Since the expansion may have an environmental impact, the management has applied to the Department of Territorial Development and Infrastructure of Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration to obtain the appropriate permit.
According to the results of the environmental impact assessment, the enterprise received a positive conclusion, which allows it to begin construction and modernization of the main production facilities.
Currently, the refinery processes about 8 thousand tonnes of beets per day. The history of production has more than a century - the enterprise held its first sugar refining season back in 1899.
